PROJECT OVERVIEW
This was a self-initiated branding project for a wood-fired grill restaurant concept called Open Fire. The brand centers around ingredient-driven cooking over live fire — combining raw, authentic cooking methods with a refined dining experience. The goal was to create a visual identity that feels clean, polished, and atmospheric while capturing the intensity and warmth of high-heat cooking.

The identity uses a dark cinematic palette of deep red, charcoal black, ash gray, and white to create strong contrast and a bold, premium feel. I created a complete logo system including a primary logo, secondary logo, typographic mark, and a simplified flame-based brand mark that subtly references the core concept in a minimal, abstract form. I developed a complete branding system including menu layouts, tabletop specials, social media concepts, packaging, signage, uniforms, and promotional mockups. Supporting visuals featured wood grain, smoke, metal textures, and close-up food photography to reinforce the brand’s elemental, fire-driven atmosphere. The philosophy behind Open Fire is reflected throughout the work: simple ingredients transformed through wood fire, expressed through intentional, minimal, and powerful design.
