PROJECT OVERVIEW
For this project, a local restaurant wanted a way to notify customers of the lobby status. Sometimes waitresses would be busy in another section of the building and customers would begin seating themselves, which would throw off the table system.
Occasionally, customers would become frustrated if they were told they had to move, or worse, if the lobby was closed and they should not have seated themselves at all. For that reason, we made this sign double-sided. On one side, the sign reassures incoming customers that someone will be with them shortly.
On the opposite side, if the lobby is closed for dine-in service, it notifies customers upon entry that it is carry-out only for the rest of the night, helping waitresses avoid situations that could lead
to a negative customer experience.
